Indo Board Enthusiast, and pro surfer, Bethany Hamilton. Her movie – Soul Surfer. Go see it!

Peter Lewis, Cheri Hamilton, Bethany Hamilton, Hunter Joslin, and Georgette Akai

Soul Surfer, opening in theatres today, is based on Bethany Hamilton’s true life story. Bethany was attacked by a 14 foot tiger shark on October 31, 2003. The attack left Bethany with a severed left arm.

We are so stoked that Indo Board  was there from the beginning helping Bethany in her quest to become a Professional Surfer after the loss of her arm. She continues to surf and inspire people all over the world. Go Bethany! Keep surfing! You are amazing!

You give us hope.

Much Aloha and Mahalo goes out to Tom Hamilton, Bethany’s dad, for his adamant support of the fact that Indo Board played a part in Bethany’s training.  Indo Board was well placed in several scenes in the film largely due to Tom’s influence in the production of the film.

Go see Soul Surfer. You’ll leave the theatre inspired.

Indo Board Team Rider, Bethany Hamilton’s inspiring story, Soul Surfer, is scheduled to be in theatres April 8, 2011.  Bethany’s story caught world wide attention when she suffered from a brutal shark attack on October 31, 2003. The surfing community as a whole, is an extremely small one, and as a world family, we all prayed for her full recovery.  The good vibes and hard work payed off as we exuberantly watched again Bethany doing what she loves so much: surfing. Here at Indo Board, we are stoked to have been a part of Bethany’s rehabilitation from the very beginning, and we are tickled pink to see her story coming soon to the big screen. In this photo: Fellow surfer and Indo Man, Hunter Joslin, explains to the eager young Bethany correct surfing posture.
